Tarzaban Podcast; Episode 12: Gen Z vs. Millennials
Welcome to the 12th episode of Tarzaban. As you probably already know, Tarzaban means both eloquent and bilingual, and here we discuss anything related to the world of teaching and learning languages. I’m your host, Amirhossein, and I’m talking to you from the online branch of Khanezaban. Stay tuned! They are different, more daring, more laidback, non-conforming, and they have their own special ways of communication. They’ve grown up immersed in a digital world, fluent in the language of social media, memes, and instant connections. I am of course talking about members of Gen Z, those who were born between 1997 and 2012. They are both criticized and idolized at times, both of which I find extreme and maybe even irrational. So, here we are trying to get a better perspective; how are millennials and Gen Z members really different? Today, I’m excited to welcome our guest, Sarvin! Sarvin is an English teacher and a passionate language learner, and as a member of Gen Z, she’ll be helping us explore their world in comparison to that of millennials.
